We’ve been on the move expanding our hire offerings to our customers adding products such as the ActSafe Powered Ascenders to our hire fleet alongside our Milan Rescue Kits and affiliated rescue equipment.
What Is Hire Association Europe (HAE)?
HAE is the UK and Europe’s leading trade body for the hire and rental industry. Its goal is to promote high standards, safety, and professionalism across the sector ensuring standards and processes are upheld through annual audits. By choosing a company that’s a member of HAE, you’re choosing one that’s committed to safety, integrity, and excellent customer service.
SafeHire Accreditation: Safety You Can Trust
The SafeHire Certification is HAE’s quality assurance mark, developed in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). It confirms that we meet rigorous safety, operational, and customer service standards. We felt it was important to have this accreditation due to the nature of the equipment we hire.
When you hire from us, you can rest assured that:
- All our equipment is regularly maintained, tested, and safe to use
- Our team is trained and qualified to support you
- We operate to recognised health, safety, and environmental best practices
- We’re externally audited to ensure we meet industry standards
What Is the HireSecure Loss & Damage Waiver?
As a member of the HAE, we can offer the HireSecure Loss & Damage Waiver, an optional service designed to protect you from the financial liability of accidental loss or damage to the equipment you hire from us.
In simple terms:
If the equipment you’ve hired is stolen, damaged, vandalised you won’t be held responsible for most repair or replacement costs, provided you’ve opted into the Waiver.
How It Works:
- You choose the Loss & Damage Waiver when you hire your equipment (for a small additional cost).
- We handle the rest, no need to go through your own insurer or provide proof of cover.
- If something goes wrong, the claim is processed quickly and efficiently through our insurance-backed HireSecure policy.
This is not a traditional insurance policy that you need to purchase, it’s a contractual waiver that relieves you of most liability if things go wrong.
What’s Covered?
The HireSecure Waiver covers:
- Accidental damage to the equipment
- Theft (including from vehicles or secure sites)
- Vandalism or malicious damage
- Damage in transit (including cross-hired items)
What’s Not Covered?
There are a few reasonable exclusions, including:
- Negligence or deliberate misuse
- Theft from unsecured areas
- Use of equipment outside agreed termsWe’ll explain these clearly when you hire, and they’re also in our T&Cs.
What Type of Equipment Do We Hire?
Milan Rescue Kits
We hire out both sealed and unsealed Milan Rescue kits across multiple industries. Sealed Milan Rescue Kits are comprised of hermetically sealed bags to protect the devices when located on sites with harsher conditions such as wind farms and offshire rigs.
ActSafe ACX Powered Ascenders
The Skylotec ActSafe ACX is one of the market leaders in manufacturing powered ascenders and the battery powered ACX is an industry favourite across many work at height sectors. Used for both equipment and personnel lifting, the ACX is an effective portable device which decreases manual handling, increases safety and speeds up project delivery times.
