Recommended For

All persons who are expected to work with Asbestos or persons who might come into contact with Asbestos during their work process.

Course Objective

To give all candidates an understanding of the dangers of working with Asbestos and the related health issues. To recognise the areas of potential Asbestos areas and how to deal with Asbestos if it is to be removed. To be able to select the correct PPE for working with asbestos.

Course Content

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
The definition of Asbestos and its health issues.
Consequences of Asbestos exposure.
Locations of possible asbestos insulation and areas of concern.
PPE requirements when working with Asbestos.
Disposal of contaminated objects.

Medical Requirements

A Reax statement of medical fitness to be signed prior to the commencement of the course. A reasonable level of fitness will be required to complete the practical element of this course.
